Russian traditional peals inspired great classical composers, including Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Borodin, Rachmaninov and many others, who incorporated them into their music.
Three sets of bells were used simultaneously during this concert of both historical and specially composed peals. It was recorded during a concert at the bellringing festival in Novgorod the Great and these peals will help the listener to acquire an understanding this area of Russian classical music.
