Diana van der Bent

Diana is a singer from the Netherlands with a love for musical diversity and a passion for the human voice. She graduated at the conservatory of Utrecht in 2012 in the direction of jazz & pop, but also received extensive classical training during that period. In 2015 she released her debut album containing duets with double bass player Harry Emmery. Over the years Diana has also launched several theatrical music programs like ‘Peggy & Nina’ about the lives and music of Peggy Lee and Nina Simone, and the award winning ‘Van Ramses tot Rossini, een radeloos recital’. In her latest project ‘Tout finit par des chansons’, she has teamed up with guitarist Paul den Bakker to explore the world of French poetic chanson; music that emerged in- and around Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris) after World War II.
