José María Moreno Valiente

José María Moreno Valiente, born in Mallorca, Spain, studied conducting in Spain and at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg.

He has conducted orchestras such as the Berlin, Brandenburg and Augsburg Symphony Orchestras (Germany), the Karelia Philharmonic (Russia), the National Symphony Orchestra (Colombia), the Filarmonia Veneta (Italy), the National Symphony Orchestra (Chile), the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (Croatia) and the Symphonies of Madrid, Galicia, Valencia, Barcelona, ​​​​the Community of Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Navarre, among others.

He has worked with soloists such as Ainhoa ​​Arteta, Plácido Domingo, Pablo Sainz Villegas, Josu de Solaun, Roberto Alagna, Asier Polo, Sergei Sichkov, Alexia Voulgaridou, Esther Yoo, Pacho Flores and Juan Pérez Floristán.

He was artistic and musical director of the Teatre Principal in Palma de Mallorca and has been the director of the Málaga Philharmonic since 2020.

He has performed at the Forbidden City Auditorium in Beijing, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Helsinki Music Center, the Teatro Real, the Liceu in Barcelona, ​​the Colón in Bogotá and the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, among other venues.

Under the teachings of maestro Pedro Valencia, he is a pioneer in the introduction of Hun Yuan Taichi and Chi Kung techniques applied to the technique of orchestra conducting.
