Maria Milstein studied with Ilya Grubert in Amsterdam, David Takeno in London and Augustin Dumay at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium.
A laureate of several international competitions and recipient of the prestigious Borletti Buitoni Trust Fellowship, Maria has appeared as a soloist with the Dutch Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Essen Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Residentie Orkest and Phion, collaborating with conductors Vasily Petrenko, Otto Tausk, Tomas Netopil, Jan Willem de Vriend and Daniele Rustioni.
Maria, pianist Hannes Minnaar and cellist Gideon den Herder formed the successful Van Baerle Trio. Winners of the arD competition and the Kersjes award, the trio has recorded several albums, including the complete works of Beethoven for piano trio. Maria’s solo albums have received unanimous critical acclaim.
