Peo Alfonsi

Peo Alfonsi graduated in classic guitar at the conservatory in Cagliari (Sardinia).

His first important experience after his classic guitar studies was a duo with Massimo Ferra. It won first prize at the competition “Posada Jazz Project” in 1996.

In 2001 he was invited at the “New Jazz Meeting” of Baden Baden with musicians like Michel Godard, Wolfgang Puschnig, Vincent Courtois and Gabriele Mirabassi.

In 2005 he joined the World Sinfonia quartet and sextet lead by Al di Meola, with which he is still touring all around the world.

He has also played with Pat Metheny, Kenny Wheeler, Trilok Gurtu, Marc Ribot, Paolo Fresu, Noa, Elena Ledda and many others.
