Vanessa Fernandez

Vanessa Fernandez is a singer, radio presenter, music culture leader and record label owner in Singapore with over 15 years of experience in music and radio broadcasting. At the age of 12, with friends from the church choir, she took part in a local TV talent show, Rolling Good Times and won the Girl Groups category. Since then she has performed in musicals as part of the Singapore Repertory Theatre as well as festivals such the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Festival (France), Laneway Festival (Singapore), BIGSOUND (Australia), V-ROX (Russia) and Concrete & Grass Festival (China). Vanessa has released music on major labels such as Universal Music and EMI, as well independent labels including Groove Note Records, Syndicate and Medallion Sounds. She also recently founded her own label, Ownself Records.
