]]> The Dragon And The Phoenix is a specially priced DSD Single with one track. It features cellist Michael Kevin Jones on the HR Recordings label. It is available in Stereo DSD 512, DSD 256, DSD 128, DSD 64 and Stereo DXD at NativeDSD.  It is not available on SACD.

In Chinese culture, the Dragon and the Phoenix are two of the most revered symbols of power and auspiciousness.  “Lung”, the Chinese dragon is unlike the evil dragon of the west.  It is gracious, wise, bold, intelligent, heroic, and noble, ruling the realm of water and bringing rain to sustain the earth.  The Phoenix “Feng Huang” is the king and queen of the birds, being both male and female.  When paired with the Dragon it is female and they represent the yin and the yang. 

Ruling the air, the Phoenix symbolizes peace and prosperity and a constantly striving spirit.  Pictured together, they are used as a blessing in Chinese weddings.
