MGL Musik is the label of the Gypsy Swing guitarist Joscho Stephan.

Joscho Stephan is one of the outstanding guitarists of Gypsy Swing, that fascinating music inextricably linked to a great name: Django Reinhardt. Alongside Biréli Lagrène, Joscho Stefan is considered a legitimate candidate for Django’s throne.

Joscho Stephan is known for his ability to revitalize Gypsy Swing with ever-new, sophisticated sound material, paired with his own breathtaking solo technique. Time and again, he has managed to reinvent himself and his guitar sounds.

Whether with Tommy Emmanuel, Biréli Lagrène, and Stochelo Rosenberg as the Guitar Heroes, the international Transatlantic Guitar Trio with Richard Smith and Rory Hoffman, or with Klezmer clarinetist Helmut Eisel, Joscho Stephan is unique in the way he combines jazz ballads, Gypsy Swing, Pop and Rock, as well as groovy original compositions into a new, comprehensive whole.
