There Was A Time features Allan Taylor together with a Symphony Orchestra!

Pauler hired the Göttinger Symphonie Orchesterwith their agile conductor Christoph-Mathias Mueller. Valter Sivilotti and Allan Taylor joined the recordings in Göttingen, and a very successful session was performed.

“It was an exciting time – waiting for our first encounter with the orchestral material from Valter Sivilotti. Over the years, the Göttinger Symphony Orchestra and I have worked up a very wide-ranging repertoire of music – from baroque to contemporary music, from the great passions to film-music – but accompanying a singer-songwriter was a first for us. From the very first notes of the rehearsal, it became very clear that these arrangements sound. Wonderful, and the recording, thanks to the fantastic recording team, went very smoothly in a convivial atmosphere. It was great to see how Allan Taylor’s eyes shone. It was for us an honour and a great joy to be part of this project.”
