Iconic Blues Singer, Songwriter and Harmonica Player Sonny Boy Williamson (died 1965) returns to Native DSD Music with his second DSD release from 2xhd Mastering – Storyville Records. The Blues features 10 tracks recorded to Analog Tape at the Ivar Rosenberg Studio in Copenhagen on November 1, 1964, with Producer Karl Emil Knudsen and Recording Engineer Ivar Rosenberg. The album features Sonny Boy Williamson (harmonica and vocals), Memphis Slim (piano), Matt Murphy (guitar) and Bill Stephney (drums).

Whenever Sonny Boy Williamson began to play, any generational or cultural barriers that might have existed quickly crumbled. His harmonica spoke a language of our time, tortured, wailing, crying – and strangely beautiful; its effect was powerfully human, and its appeal penetrated national, racial, and economic frontiers. His artistry, therefore, forged a link between himself and his newly won audiences, winning them over with his personality. The popularity of Williamson is exceptional.

Sonny Boy Williamson – Harmonica, Foot Stomping, Vocals
Memphis Slim – Piano
Matt Murphy – Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
Bill Stepney – Drums
