Inspired by a period of Beatlemania at home with his family, Violinist and Concert Master Guy Braunstein wove a dozen songs from the Beatlesā celebrated Abbey Road album into a concerto for violin and orchestra entitled Abbey Road Concerto.
The album is Exclusively Available in Stereo DSD 512, DSD 256, DSD 128 and DSD 64 at NativeDSDĀ
The concerto intersperses Braunsteinās own compositions of the Overture, Intermezzos, Cadenza and The End with his arrangements of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrisonās hit songs such as Come Together,Ā Oh Darling, Here Comes The SunĀ andĀ I Want You.
Conductor Alondra de la Parra also has a profound love for the Beatles and was therefore the natural choice to lead the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de LiĆØge in this captivating and unique approach to the timeless and epochal music that the band recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 1969.
Accompanying Braunsteinās Abbey Road Concerto are Ralph Vaughan Williamsā beloved The Lark Ascending and Frederick Deliusā seldomly performed Violin Concerto.
Just like the album Abbey Road itself, the first-ever recordings of both of these works by Delius and Vaughan Williams were made at Abbey Road Studios in London.
