Ariettes is a World Premiere Recording of music by Antonio María Nava performed by Miguel Ulla and Agustin Maruri. Including some of his most beautiful “Ariettes” and four solo instrumental pieces. This album is the first one to present some of his “Ariettes” for voice and romantic guitar as well as four romantic solo pieces performed in an instrument made after a 1840 original Lacote guitar.

An early romantic composer, Nava was born in Milano and become one of the best known guitar composers in the first decades of the nineteenth century in Italy and Europe.

So refreshing to find a World Premiere Recording among the massive amount of new releases. Especially by a completely forgotten composer, Antonio María Nava, who certainly deserves more attention.
