Dialogue is a special Jazz Fusion album featuring the Egri-Plútó Basses. This is their story.

In 1980, Jozsef Plútó Horvath was a student of Janos Egri, who became an outstanding bassist. It was the former student’s idea to form a band with his teacher, based on the virtuosity of the two bass players.

Perhaps the most sought after Hungarian bass player, János Egri and his former student József Horváth “Pluto” founded Egri-Plútó Basses, their extraordinary band in 2010. The Egri-Pluto Basses, with its unusual line-up, puts two bass guitars in the foreground, amplifying and complementing each other.

János Egri was the main pillar of one of the most successful Hungarian Jazz bands, Trio Midnight. Recently featured at NativeDSD on The Michel Legrand Songbook. Also released by Hunnia Records.

After a numerous successful performances, with the help of Róbert Zoltán Hunka at Hunnia Records, Dialogue – a Jazz Fusion album was recorded and released. Our Special Thanks for the collaboration of the outstanding musicians on this album.
