Vocalist Agnes Lakatos and Double Bassist Csuhaj Barna Tibor – also known as Voice and Bass – return to NativeDSD with their album Into The Groove. It follows their initial NativeDSD release Black Cow, a Stereo Pure DSD 256 album.

Into The Groove features a mix of original compositions and music favorites. The latter selections include Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell, February Song by Josh Groban, Don’t Go To Strangers by Arthur Kent, David Mann & Redd Evans and Too Much Love Will Kill You by Brian May of Queen.

The duet of Ágnes Lakatos (Jazz Singing Teacher of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest) and Tibor Csuhaj Barna (Jazz Double Bass Teacher of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music) is a real curiosity in the world of jazz. The voice and bass duo is a big challenge for the musicians, requiring a high level of co-operation, technical knowledge, since two intoning instruments – without harmony instrument – from the two edges of the music spectrum composes the music. Even on world level only a few couples tried to record a full album in this setup.

At the end of the album on Tracks 10, 11 & 12 you will find 3 pieces that are a fusion with the Corridor Bassoon Quartet.

Lakatos Agnes, Vocals
Csuhaj Barna Tibor, Double Bass

Corridor Bassoon Quartet (on Tracks 10, 11, 12)
György Lakatos, Bassoon
Zsófia Stefán, Bassoon
Sára Rebeka Tóth, Bassoon
Mihály Duffek, Bassoon
