In Spring Wind, Hungarian Jazz Quintet Baló Projekt takes us on an improvisational journey into the world of Avant Garde Jazz and the musical mind of drummer and composer István Baló. The album is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
NativeDSD is releasing this album from Hunnia Records exclusively in Pure DSD including its recorded format and bit rate of Pure Stereo DSD 256.
In the compositions performed, improvisations – like a river in a riverbed – often intertwine to connect the pre-written themes, giving the musicians the opportunity to put their creative skills, creativity and energy at the service of the music, listening to the musical processes and each other.
The bandleader and drummer’s intention was to use the knowledge and experience he had gathered during his rich career to create his own compositions. One of the main features of the pieces is that the soloists can express themselves in improvisations that give them great freedom, connecting points of departure and arrival – just as “the river runs in its course“.
