The Bartha Arnedo Quartet returns to NativeDSD with It’s About Time.  This new album is a follow-up to their first release from Hunnia Records – a DSD EP titled Lazy Lady.

It’s About Time features a mix of original compositions by members of the Quartet along with some Jazz standards. The album tracks include It’s About Time by Ron Carter, Who Can I Turn To? by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, If I Love Again, a Thad Jones favorite written by Jack Murray and Ben Oakland, Disney classic When You Wish Upon A Star written by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington, Hi-Fly a composition by Randy Weston, made famous by the great saxophonist Cannonball Adderley and The Shadow Of Your Smile by Paul Francis Webster and Johnny Mandel.

Pianist Matyas Bartha tells us “Recording a live album is the ultimate goal for many jazz musicians. It’s an opportunity to capture a moment filled with the audience’s energy and take the record to a whole new spiritual level.”

“Our bassist, Danny Ziemann, shares this passion for recording and engineering, and he put a lot of effort into selecting the right microphones for us. Together with our sound engineer, Gabor Halász, who has always been invested in all of our projects, we set out to create something special.”
