GPS by the Bolyki Tamás Quartet is a Stereo Pure DSD 256 recording exclusively available in Pure DSD at NativeDSD!
Our show GPS is about a young musician’s search for his way. It’s about how to find his way in this ever-changing, evolving world. It’s about the things that neither the internet nor the electric car can make easier – and some things are even harder because of them.
One of them, for example, is the choice of values in our lives. As a young person just starting out in life, I couldn’t understand why it was so difficult for my generation to choose meaningful goals, to decide what to hold on to. Then I thought about how we often try without any guidance, while on the other side no one wants to measure their life against some ruler by the right of ”freedom”.
And so it is not so incomprehensible. How can a man set out on a journey if he does not know what is important to him? Why should a young person know what to do if he doesn’t take advice from those who have already passed this stage of life? Moreover, one would have to go somehow along the chosen path…
The idea of the GPS was born from this reflection: to collect the values and personal experiences that help me find my way in life. I’m happy to be able to convey my thoughts in the language of music, which makes me and my world a little more accessible. Thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy!
