To make music with friends is one of the joys of being a musician. The energy necessary to bring out the best of the individual members and the group as a whole is easier to achieve with people you know and care for. Especially when these people are talented it is so much more fun to ‘play’ together.

And talent there was on this Wednesday night in May 2023. Incredible pianist Tálas Áron who has it all: fire, swing and subtlety. Young bassist Jónás Géza, a tremendous swinger and a soloist in his own right. Then we had veteran drummer Joris Dudli and myself on guitar.

We did some concerts before the recording date in Budapest where we played everything live and subsequently in one take. It came out very spontaneous, just as I expected with these wonderful musicians who I am proud of to call them my friends!
