This album by musician, producer, engineer and educator Karttikeya presents a joyous glimpse into the enthralling world of hand pans. In equal parts resonant and rhythmic, these 15 tracks showcase Karttikeya’s deep connection with these incredible handcrafted instruments and deliver a truly hypnotic listening experience.

To ensure that the power and nuance of these performances were maintained, engineers and producers Doug Fearn, Geoff Hazelrigg and George Hazelrigg made use of a single pair of Audio Engineering Associates R44C Ribbon Microphones in a Blumlein stereo configuration through a D.W. Fearn VT-2 Vacuum Tube Microphone Preamplifier feeding the inputs of a Merging Technologies Hapi Analog to Digital Converter. Audio was captured at Stereo DSD 256 and remained in the DSD domain through the entire recording process.

This album is a Pure DSD 256 Stereo recording made using a pair of Audio Engineering Associates R44C microphones in the Blumlein stereo configuration. All tracks were performed live with no overdubs. Exclusively Available in Stereo Pure DSD 256 at NativeDSD.
