Souvenir de Posen is the World Premiere Recording of I.J. Paderewski’s Variations and Fugue in F Major, in the composer’s original arrangement, and a string quartet by Józef Wieniawski, performed by the winners of two Diapason D’Or awards, the Meccore String Quartet.

The entire program was recorded on an original Henryk Wieniawski instrument in the collection of the National Museum, the sound of which was recorded for the first time in the form of a high definition file release.

This recording was subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund, as part of the “Musical Footprint” program implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
