NativeDSD welcomes Psalmus as the newest music label in our store. Their first DSD release is a performance of Olivier Messian’s Quartet For The End of Time (Quatuor pour la fin du Temps) by Min-Jung Kim (Piano), Mark Van de Wiel (Clarinet), Mats Lidstrom (Cello) and Zsolt-Tihamer Visontay (Violin).
Composed by Olivier Messiaen as a tribute to the Angel of the Revelation, who lifts his hand to heaven, saying “There Should Be Time No Longer”, the Quatuor pour la fin du Temps (Quartet For The End Of Time) is written in a spiritual musical language. Which draws the listener into a sense of the eternity.
Its eight movements are based on the perfect number of seven. The creation of six days made holy by the divine Sabbath, which prolongs itself into eternity and becomes the eighth of unfailing light, of immutable peace.
