An Exploration of What Home Really Means
The Miró Quartet presents Home, a new album that explores the many concepts of what the term “home” can mean. Its complexity is woven in a variety of ways into the music: the pieces, all composed by Americans past and present, invite you to feel, reflect, and engage in Miró’s world.
Home is Exclusively Available in Stereo DSD 512, DSD 256, DSD 128 and DSD 64 at NativeDSD
In this regard, the album also represents the United States, Miró’s artistic home, in many ways. The program presents two new World Premiere Recordings, commissioned by Kevin Puts and Caroline Shaw, as well as known and lesser known works by George Walker and Samuel Barber.

I have enjoyed the earlier albums by the Miro Quartet. This is my first in wonderful DSD.
Vocal intros by Caroline Shaw in Microfictions Vol. 1 are humorous additions to the Miro Quartet’s marvelous playing.
Very nicely recorded by Pentatone and improved by NativeDSD.
