Totally Telemann – Music for Orchestra

Telemann was highly regarded by his contemporaries and remains today more fashionable than ever because of his refreshingly imaginative and stylistically varied compositions. “Totally Telemann” is filled to the brim with lush music created in a collaboration of renowned international artists and Norway’s finest early musicians.

Leading the ensemble is Kati Debretzeni  (concertmaster of Sir John Elliot Gardiner’s English Baroque Soloists). She is also a soloist in a violin concerto and a double concerto for violin and flute. Star oboist Alfredo Bernardini guests Barokkanerne as soloist in an oboe concerto and in the orchestral suite “La Bourse”. Together with leading Norwegian artists such as flutist Torun Kirby Turbo and recorder player Ingeborg Christophersen they contribute to a recording you will want to hear again and again.
